Object Description
A pair of beautifully weathered antique Italian limestone ornaments of putti with a lion and a sheep; two of five we are selling in a similar style. Though these garden statues date from the early 20th century, they will make stunning sculptures in a 21st century garden – whether that be a character antique feature of a contemporary space or an addition to a traditional townhouse courtyard.
The putti, lion and sheep are brilliantly carved, the weathering only enhancing each sculpture’s detail. From the locks of hair on each putti’s head to the curling wool of the sheep, these are simply charming antique garden ornaments for your flowerbed or design scheme.
