Object Description

A Holy Land small terracotta jug, featuring a globular body which sits on a flat base. The body tapers in slightly to a short, cylindrical neck with a slightly inverted rim. Two symmetrical applied handles extend downwards from the upper body and curve gently onto the shoulder. The vessel has been painted with a dark red/brown slip.

Date: Circa 3rd-1st millennium BC

Object Condition

Fine condition, chips to the rim, neck and one of the handles. Some surface scratches and encrustation to the surface consistent with age.
