Object Description
A unique pair of miniature tradesman’s or apprentice samples of English general purpose saddles. Circa 1930. Both examples are individually hand crafted using a mixture of cowhide, pigskin and box cloth with suede knee rolls.
Larger saddle’s dimensions:
36cm/ 14⅛ inches (height on stand) x 33cm/ 13 inches (width) x 19cm/ 7½ inches. (Height of saddle 25cm/ 9⅞ inches).
Smaller saddle’s dimensions:
27cm/ 10⅝ inches (height on stand) x 29cm/ 11½ inches (width) x 17cm/ 6⅝ inches (depth). (Height of saddle 16cm/ 6¼ inches).
