Circa 1860. Finest quality carved mahogany two-seater settee in French style. The upholstered back surmounted by a carved frame with rococo scrolls and acanthus leaves, extending down with fluted out turned acanthus carved arms. The back with panels of upholstery and the seat rail with further exquisite carving, all supported on short cabriole legs with scrolled toes to the front and back. Recently reupholstered in a quality pink material.
