Object Description
This very good quality Provincial trefid spoon was made in Lewes C1680 by Robert Colegate and measures 8.25 inches in length, it bears the initials I*B over W*A to the back of the stem where it also bears the town mark struck thrice and the makers mark, it has a well defined rat tail to the back of the bowl with the bowl itself being of good gauge and well formed with a good thick tip, a rare spoon in excellent condition weighing 1.70 ounces or 53 grams.
