Object Description
This rare cased George II silver etui was made C1750 and as is usual is unmarked, it has a red leather case that is lined with white satin, it measures 4 inches tall by 2 inches at its widest and is 0.75 inches deep, the etui is beautifully engraved and embossed with scrolls and flower baskets with a band of flower heads along the top edge, inside it contains a shell backed spoon marked with the lion passant, a folding silver pistol handled knife, a pair of engraved tweezers with ear scoop, an ear scoop, a pair of steel silver handled scissors, 2 fleams and a cylindrical tube for leads, it has brass hook and eye fasteners to the case which has some wear as you would expect but the etui itself is very sharp and in excellent condition.
