Object Description
Circa 1870, mid Victorian carved wood and gilded overmantel mirror. With original, oval shaped mirror plate surrounded by pierced foliate carving including flowers and bull rushes. The cresting rail with full relief in flower heads and intertwined bull rush leaves (unusually folding back over the mirror plate). With a carved and gilded tied ribbon in the base, with further foliate brackets bracing the mirror at the sides, and all on a shaped, gilded base.
