Object Description
Victorian diamond coronet cluster ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond, J colour, SI1 clarity with an approximate weight of 3.02 carats, in an open back claw setting, encircled by ten round old cut diamonds in open back claw and cutdown rubover settings with a combined weight of 2.90 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 5.92 carats, to an impressive coronet cluster featuring curving claws, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, the trumpeting tri-split shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Tested gold and silver, circa 1890, accompanied by Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) report #2185194142.
