Object Description

This thick studded oak door dates from the early 1900s. Perhaps it was once part of an entryway to a castle or church. Whatever its former use, this antique door with frame now makes a spectacular exterior door for a period property. Made in solid oak, the front features three vertical panels separated by deep moulding and detailed with large nail studding that creates a medieval look. At the back, the door is horizontally planked and supported by two large strap hinges with spearhead shaped ends. Despite being approximately 100 years old, this studded oak door remains strong and sturdy, making it ideal for use as an exterior or front door. There is no key for the lock.
