Object Description
Victorian fire opal solitaire ring. Set to cente with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Mexican fire opal in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 2.15 carats, to an elegant solitaire design featuring curving claws, a pierced scalloped gallery and and open backholing, leading to inwardly tapering shoulders and flowing through to a solid square shank. Tested yellow gold, circa 1900.
