Object Description
Circa 1880, Victorian French-style, figured and burr walnut freestanding desk. The serpentine shaped top with cross banding, tooled brown leather writing surface and gilt bronze open foliate gallery, over four deep and one shallow frieze drawers with unusual gilt bronze foliate style handles. The back has a similar configuration with dummy drawers. All supported on foliate carved and fluted cabriole supports with foliate ears.
