Victorian Gothic octagonal oak post box.

Object Description

An unusual Victorian Gothic octagonal oak post box. The hinged lifting top with brass posting plate and good lever lock .Shaped Gothic decoration to each side and plinth .The box tapers from 12ins at the base to 11ins at the top and there are lovely brass plates on the front marked “NOON” and “LETTERS” .The box is a good size at 18ins tall .English Circa 1860 and in great condition throughout.

Object Condition

Good condition and colour, the lid is slightly faded but could be polished back to the original colour if necessary.
