Victorian Holdcroft Majolica Floral Basket

Object Description

Holdcroft Majolica basket which features flowers and leaves hanging from the branch-like handle. Coloration: cobalt blue, turquoise, brown, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Holdcroft Pottery.

Object Condition

Very good. No restoration. Small flake to one flower. KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage lines to a couple of leaves; over glazed chip to the rim.
