Object Description
Circa 1870. A mid-Victorian mahogany three-part pedestal desk of desirable
proportions, the top with tooled and gilded burgundy leather insert, with
broad banding and a stylish moulded fore-edge, the front with one long
drawer flanked by a pair of shorter drawers, each with a pair of turned knob
handles, resting on a pair of pedestals each with a bank of three graduating
drawers with similar handles to the top, the desk is polished on all sides
making it freestanding, all resting on a pair of enclosed plinths with
concealed castors.
