Victorian Mahogany French Mantel Clock
Victorian mantel clock housed in a flame mahogany case with serpentine shaped top, reeded pillars with brass capitals and brass line inlay decoration to the front. Moulded stepped plinth resting on four brass bracket feet.
Brass bezel with convex glass opening to the enamel dial with Arabic numerals and original ‘blued’ steel moonpoise hands.
Eight day French movement with anchor escapement numbered 8143, striking the hours and halves on a coiled gong. C.1890
