Circa 1870, Victorian marquetry-inlaid, figured walnut cabinet bookcase. The moulded cornice is over a frieze with foliate boxwood inlay above an embossed brass band. The upper section with arch glazed doors encloses a velvet lined interior. Inside are inlaid shelves and they are flanked by boxwood and tulipwood inlaid pilasters with cast brass mounts. The conforming base with figured walnut top has a moulded foredge enclosing two inlaid panelled doors. This opens to a fitted interior and is all on an enclosed plinth base.
