Victorian oak metal bound trunk.

Object Description

A Victorian oak metal bound trunk with large carrying handles to each side. The top is flat and opens to reveal an interior now lined in hardboard (detachable) but probably a fitted silver chest in former life. Good bold side carrying handles to the sides, the chest bears the original owner’s brass plaque H Behrend Esq.. English Circa 1860.

Object Condition

Good condition throughout with original iron and brass metalware, purchased locally. Useful as a coffee table in the centre of a room with plenty of storage for tidying things away!
