A Very Good Quality Mid 19th Century Figured Walnut Open Bookcase, Having Superbly Figured Rectangular Walnut Top, Over Frieze With Elegant Crossbanded Decoration And Three Adjustable Shelves, Flanked By Crossbanded Rounded Corners Raised On Original Plinth Base.
This extremely attractive mid 19th century dwarf open bookcase is of relative typical design for the period, however the overall quality of construction, elegant look and use of highly figured walnut timbers certainly puts it relatively high up on the comparison scale with similar items.
Clearly made in a top worshop it is really rather beautiful, whilst at the same time being really rather functional. The three shelves are adjustable and can even be totally removed if required for some specific purpose.
Perfect for a whole plethora of places around the home and office this bookcase is in clean and tidy condition, ready to be placed straight into operation. As with all items which we offer for sale it has been attended to in our workshops, by our highly skilled and trained fine furniture restorers before being offered for sale, therefore it has been very recently cleaned and naturally waxed in the traditional manner.
