Object Description
Circa 1880. An interesting walnut 3-part free-standing walnut pedestal desk. The crossbanded rectangular top recently re leathered wit moulded foredges. With 3 frieze drawers to the front (1 long 2 short) in mirror-matched burr walnut with circular carved wood escutcheons with a small lozenge design separating each of the drawers. The pedestals on enclosed plinths with 4 graduated drawers with turned knobs and 4 faux drawers at the back and with ribbed pilasters each side of the banks of drawers one with a false escutcheon the other is hinged and has a working lock similar to a Wellington chest.
