Vintage, Blue Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Engagement Ring, 18ct Yellow Gold

This cluster ring would make an ideal vintage engagement ring. An electric-blue oval sapphire is surrounded by diamonds.

Date: Circa 1960

Metal Composition: 18ct yellow and white gold.

Stone composition: Oval sapphire; a medium, electric blue with excellent saturation. Sapphire: 2.25ct (estimated). Length 9.1mm; Width 6.9mm; Depth 4.5mm

Treatment: Unheated/untreated (assessed by our GIA qualified gemologist). The natural sapphire is of Sri Lankan or Basaltic origin, this will be stated on the certificate of authenticity.

Diamond: Total diamond weight: 1.50ct (estimated). Average Clarity; VS2/SI Colour; G|H. Cut; round brilliant-cut. Assessed in mount.

Band Size: UK R / US 8.5. Single complimentary re-size available. This ring can easily be re-sized up to any size.

Front head dimensions: Length 16.9mm; Width 14.2mm; Height of setting 8mm.

As this ring is under 100 years old, it is strictly a vintage rather than antique ring.

Object Condition

Condition: Excellent. Wear: commensurate with age. All stones secure, safely set within gold fully covering each stone, no damage to the setting or sapphire.
