Object Description
Vintage Colombian emerald and diamond cluster earrings. A matching pair, each centrally set with an oval cabochon natural Colombian emerald with no colour enhancement, two in total, in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 3.65 carats, each encircled with fourteen marquise shape old cut diamonds, twenty eight in total, in open back claw and grain settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.76 carats, to an impressive stylised floral cluster design, with curving claws and intricate open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure hinge clip and post, approximately 1.9cm in length. Earrings marked platinum and tested yellow gold, hinge clip and post tested white gold, numbered ‘K20’ & ‘D 0.88 1.83’ & ‘D 0.88 1.82’, circa 1950.
