Object Description
Vintage diamond earrings. A matching pair, each set with twelve round transitional cut diamonds in open back claw settings, twenty four in total with a combined approximate weight of 1.20 carats, set above with twenty two tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back rubover setting, forty four in total with a combined weight of 1.76 carats, further decorated with six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, twelve in total with a combined weight of 0.24 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 4.16 carats, to an impressive curving design featuring openwork details with polished edging, a pierced linear gallery and fancy shape open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and clip, approximately 3.2cm in length. Tested white gold and platinum, indistinct maker’s mark, circa 1960.
