Vintage Oscar Heyman Brothers sapphire and diamond cocktail ring. Set with twenty square calibre cut natural unenhanced sapphires in open back channel and grain settings with an approximate combined weight of 4.00 carats, flanked by two semi-circle graduated rows of round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain settings, fourteen in total, with an approximate combined weight of 1.10 carats, to a curving bombé design featuring polished edges and intricate fancy backholing, the broad integrated shoulders tapering to a solid D-shape shank. Marked 18 carat yellow gold, maker’s mark for Oscar Heyman Brothers, numbered ‘36131’, American, circa 1960.
