Object Description
Vintage Oscar Heyman Brothers sapphire and diamond ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 11.45 carats, flanked by six rectangular tapered baguette cut diamonds in open back channel settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.80 carats, embellished by a cluster of seventy four round brilliant cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 1.80 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.60 carats, to an elegant bombĂ© cluster featuring curving claws, a pierced openwork gallery and intricate fancy open backholing, flowing through to smooth shoulders and tapering down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, maker’s mark for Oscar Heyman Brothers, numbered ‘507968’, American, circa 1960, accompanied by American Gemological Laboratories report #CS54804.
