Visigothic Bronze Bow Brooch

Object Description

A Visigothic bronze bow brooch. The brooch has a semi-circular head plate with a small central projection, a narrow arched bow, and a long rhomboid-shaped shaped foot-plate. The reverse of the brooch is unadorned with the hinged pin now missing.

Date: Circa 5th-7th century AD

Object Condition

Very fine condition. Some tarnishing and surface scratching. The pin is now missing.
