Walnut Arch Top Visible Escapement Mantel Clock

Object Description

An arch top mantel clock of very plain form. It has a figure walnut arch top case with a plain ogee moulding base. It has a very thick bevel edge glass, a two piece enamel dial and a jewelled visible escapement. The French 8 day movement ( dating from the 19th century ) strikes the hours and halves on a bell .
