Object Description

Solid walnut table casket, the moulded hinged top with a dentelle frieze, the front divided into three panels by geometric decorative mouldings, the middle panel with the lock escutcheon and the other two panels and the side panels wth applied walnut rosettes. Italy, Tuscany, late 16th century

Object Condition

Good colour and patina. One rosette handle on the side is later and some small losses
