Object Description

Wedgwood Fairyland lustre octagonal bowl decorated in Dana, ‘castle on a road’ design, on a mother of pearl ground to the exterior. The octagonal panels are framed with the cobble border. ‘Fairy in a cage’ design on a mother of pearl ground to the interior. ‘Portland Vase’ and ‘WEDGWOOD ENGLAND’ back stamp to the underside with pattern number ‘Z5125’.

Object Condition

Very Good. No restoration. Almost nil rubbing or wear. Kiln effect from manufacture – a small over glazed and gilded paint miss to the interior. The bowl has a good, resonant ring.
