Object Description

Wedgwood Fairyland lustre imperial bowl. Exterior decorated with the Woodland Bridge pattern on black background. Cobble bead around the foot. Interior is decorated with the Picnic by a River pattern. Pattern number ‘Z4968’ and gilt Portland Vase mark to underside. Patterns illustrated on page 113 and 167 ‘Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre’ by Una des Fontaines.

Object Condition

Very Good. No restoration. Tiny flake to the gilding on the rim. A small number of light scratches and light rubbing to gilt in central well inside the bowl. The bowl has a good, resonant ring.
