Welsh oak cabriole leg dresser base.

Object Description

A Geo I Welsh oak dresser base. The top with moulded edge above three drawers with oval cast brass knobs, a delicate moulded frieze with centre bow that also runs down the sides. The dresser stands on bold cabriole front legs , with unusual flat claw and ball feet , and square back ones that are chamfered on the inside.

Object History

Has been in a house near Fairbourne , Merionethshire for many years.

Object Condition

Fine colour and patina, in great condition throughout , the back legs have a small tip on the base.
