Object Description
A Western Asiatic gold earring from the ancient region of Bactria. The triangular-shaped gold plate is decorated with clusters of golden granules: five granules on top form a cross-shape and five line the bottom in a decorative border. The earring showcases the gold working technique excellently, with the smooth reverse finished to a high standard. A long suspension āSā shape loop extends from the top of the earring and terminates in a single gold granule.
