Object Description
An exquisite pair of Western Asiatic solid high karat gold earrings featuring a penannular shape slightly bulging at the centre. each earring is enriched by three clusters of gold granules arranged in a pyramid-like shape, one at the base and two, smaller in size, to the front. The large formation at the base is composed of four clusters and a central one topping these. Two additional single granules decorated the end terminal. Hinged clasp mechanisms complete the earrings. This earring design became extremely popular cross many different ancient cultures such as Etruscan, Greek, Roman, Parthian and Sassanian. Weight: 10.75 g.
