Wilhelm Schiller Majolica Frog Playing Bagpipes Figure

Object Description

Schiller Majolica figure which features a frog playing bagpipes, dressed in a cloak and a hat. Colouration: green, light brown, yellow, are predominant. The piece bears maker’s marks for the Schiller pottery. Bears a pattern number, ‘1107’.

Object Condition

Generally Good. Shallow, coloured in chip to edge of cloak. RESTORATION. Remodelled pipe, below the right hands. Filled chip to finger on left hand.
