Object Description
A beautifully proportioned antique silver footed salver of plain, compact form decorated with a broad gadroon edge to both top and foot. This salver is made of heavy gauge silver and feels good in the hand. To the top is a hand engraved armorial crest.

Simon Thriscross, London silvermaker, apprenticed to Thomas Mann 1676 of the Draper’s Company, free 1686. In 1695 he was recorded as a working goldsmith on Ludgate Hill. He registered a largeworker’s Britannia mark in 1697. Simon took 2 apprentices, free of the Draper’s Comany.
