Object Description
A William IV carved mahogany library chair. Show wood top rail with scroll ends, good sloping arms with fine carved uprights above a moulded frieze, turned carved front legs and shaped plain rear ones. The chair retains it’s original bold engraved brass castors and and is a great shape with a good rake to the back and very comfortable to sit in. The seat height including the cushion is 19 ins as is the depth so it could be used as a writing chair. English Circa 1830.
