A charming newspaper-reading toad brooch by E. Wolfe & Co. 2021, the finely modelled toad in polished 18ct yellow gold with warty skin, the eyes set with sapphire cabochons and the underside of the chin with round brilliant cut diamonds, depicted in a seated position and reading a newspaper made in 18ct white gold, the toad wears a tie with single diamond set in the knot and pince-nez perched on its nose. This whimsical little chap reminds us of Mr Toad in the Wind in the Willows, he’s full of personality, dapperly dressed and sure to receive comments and compliments alike when pinned to your dress, jacket or coat.
