Object Description
A Yazidi peacock finial cast from bronze. The bird is displayed in a stylised manner featuring two large circles for eyes, a curved protruding beak and a rhombus shaped crest. The head is supported by a long, slender neck which leads down to a small body with a wing on either side. The tail feathers are out-splayed and feature swirl designs at the tips presented in different directions. The bird is perched on a conical terminal used for attachment.
