Galerie Betty Charles was established in 2025 and presents exciting works from across Europe and the UK. Specialising in Modern and Postwar art. We particularly like to rediscover and bring artworks back into the public consciousness which may have been unfortunately overlooked. The gallery also works with selected Contemporary art placed “in conversation” with older works.

Our gallery is unique in having a dedicated legal team within the business to ensure that all works are appropriately identified, researched and authenticated. We are also able to appraise works and offer clients market and insurance valuations. We also advise on the taxation position of personal collection and private art Foundations.

Lucy Charles (MSc. MLitt. MA. RICS) is the Founder of Galerie Betty Charles and working alongside her is Director and husband, Oliver Charles (MA. M.Phil. SFHEA. FRSA. Solicitor). Between them, Lucy & Oliver have over sixty years of experience working in the art world and art law related services.
