Rakhi Talwar

RTalwar Compliance was founded by Rakhi Talwar in 2019 to help dealers in the art and luxury sectors throughout the UK and Europe develop simple, yet robust compliance programmes to comply with complex anti-money laundering regulations . Over the past 4 years she has advised art businesses of all sizes, from global auction houses and art galleries to smaller art and antiques dealers and art advisors. Rakhi works with her clients to embed a culture of compliance and ethics within the fabric of their business with the ultimate aim of strengthening the reputation of the art sector.

Rakhi qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and worked for leading law firms for many years. Prior to setting up RTalwar Compliance in 2019, Rakhi was the Global Head of Compliance at Christie's for 7 years and before that, she led compliance for the International Currency Card business at American Express in the UK.

RTalwar Compliance is a preferred service provider for LAPADA and its sister art trade associations, SLAD and BADA. Rakhi also serves on the advisory board for the Responsible Art Market initiative.

RTalwar Compliance became a carbon neutral business in 2022.
