Last year, due to re-organisation, Witney Antiques was unable to hold, what had become over the previous twenty-four years, their annual exhibition of needlework.
However, during the last two years they have been able to acquire, from private collections, examples worked under the direction or influence of some of the major centres of needlework including the Bristol, Norwich and Quaker schools. So, this Summer Witney Antiques revives its annual exhibition with a remarkable group of needlework samplers. On display will be needlework of exceptional decorative quality worked by embroiderers of high artistic ability and technical skill.
Entrance is free and there will be a complete colour catalogue with images of the exhibits displayed.
