Vintage Opal and Diamond Cluster Ring. Circa 1940.
15 carat rose gold and platinum set, non marked. Claw set with an oval cut opal showing beautiful colour. Complemented by a cluster of sixteen claw set round cut diamonds.
Diamond content approximately .50 carat. Diamonds H colour, VS/SI clarity.
Pierced out gallery. Plain shoulders leading to a plain band shank.
To the reverse the opal and diamonds are in open backed settings, allowing light to shine through.
The opal measures approximately 8mm X 10mm. The head of the ring measures approximately 14mm across.
This would make a lovely dress ring.
