For sale is this rare “roman flask” James Powell & sons decanter. The design of the glass body based on roman flask with a silver top. Fully assayed for James Powell & sons. These tops were originally made by William Hutton & Sons for James Powell, but after Powell registered their own mark in October 1903, it is thought production moved to the Guild of Handicraft. The glass and silver are in excellent original condition.

James Powell and Sons were famous glass makers who were renowned at the end of the 19th century and for much of the 20th century for both their stained and artistic glass.
