Object Description
For sale is this lovely, rare, Archibald Knox (attributed) aide memoire with enamel motif to the front, marked for William Hair Haseler. This item was almost certainly retailed through Liberty & Co. The enamel is classic Liberty blue/green and the celtic knot design motif a lovely and rare example of Knox’ style of work. The aide memoire still contains a period note pad (unused). This aide memoire will appear in Dr Stephen Martin’s forthcoming revised third edition of his book “Archibald Knox.”
The enamel is in excellent condition and the spring hinge is still working well. The silver body has scratches and minor blemishes commensurate with age
