Star Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1920.
This stunning ring features an oval cabochon cut star sapphire which is complemented by an outer halo of old cut diamonds, all grain set, within millegrain edging. Total diamond content measures approximately 0.52 carat, G/H colour and VS/SI clarity. The Sapphire measures approximately 5.10 carats. The head of the ring measures 17.5 mm in width and is supported by a decorative pierced out gallery with plain shoulders leading to an unmarked platinum plain band shank. To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings allowing the maximum amount of light to shine through.
This is a perfect cocktail or dress ring, and would be sure to attract plenty of attention.
