Sapphire And Diamond Cluster Ring in Yellow Gold.
Art Deco circa 1930. 18 carat yellow gold with indistinct 18 carat stamp. Claw set with a circular cut Natural mid blue sapphire. Complemented by an outer cluster of seven old cut diamonds.
Total diamond content measures approximately .70 carat. Diamonds H Colour, VS Clarity. Sapphire measures approximately .50 carat. Diamonds and sapphire are all claw set. Knife edge shoulders. Plain band shank.
To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.
The head of the ring measures approximately 10 mm across.
This would make a wonderful dress or engagement ring.
