Object Description
Edwardian Diamond Open Heart Pendant. Circa 1910.
The heart is set in 15 carat yellow gold and silver with a decorative raised gallery. The outer heart is set with twenty one old cut claw diamonds in claw settings. Suspended to the centre of the heart are three further old cut diamonds, trefoil in shape, in a rub over setting. The bail has three graduated old cut diamonds. All the diamonds are set into open backed settings to allow the light to shine through.
Total diamond content is approximately 1.30 carats. Diamonds are G colour, VS/SI clarity.
The pendant is suspended on an adjustable Platinum chain measuring approximately 48cm , with a bolt ring and safety fastening.
The heart pendant measures 16mm across and 18mm depth.
To the reverse diamonds are set into open backed settings to allow the light to shine through.
