Object Description

A rare George I period ebonised hooded wall clock, the 4 ½ inch break arch brass dial movement with alarm and of 30-hour duration.

Object Literature

John Griffin was apprenticed circa 1713 and freed of the Clockmakers’ Company in 1720. He was active in London until 1734.
