Victorian Sapphire and Diamond Five Stone ring, circa 1900.
This lovely ring features three oval cut sapphires, with a slightly larger one to the centre, complemented by two old mine cut diamonds with 4 rose cut diamond points around each diamond and one on each shoulder. The intricately carved scrolled gallery leads to an 18ct yellow gold (marked 18) plain band shank. The total diamond content is approximately .50 carat, G colour and VS clarity, and the sapphire is approximately 1.25 carat. The head of the ring measures 22 mm across . All the stones are set in an open backed setting to allow the light to shine through.
This beautiful ring would be ideal as a dress ring, or paired with a wedding band
