Diamond cluster ring in 18 carat white gold and platinum set, circa 1940
A circular old cut diamond is complemented by an outer row of six diamonds measuring approximately 2 carats in total, K colour and VS/SI clarity. All diamonds are claw set in platinum. T decorative pierced out gallery and plain shoulders lead to an 18ct white gold plain band shank. The head of the ring measures 12mm in width. To the reverse the diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.
Diamonds are the perfect choice for an engagement ring because of the hardness of the stone, but this ring would also make a wonderful dress ring option.
