Object Description
1960’s Grima Ruby and Diamond Ring.
This ring is composed of 18ct yellow gold asymmetric overlapping textured ‘pebbles’. To one side of the central ruby is an 18ct white gold ‘pebble,’ grain set with five diamonds measuring approximately .10 carat in total, G/H colour and VS clarity. To the centre is a claw set, oval cut .55 carat ruby. Knife edge shoulders lead to a square 18ct yellow gold plain band shank. The head of the ring measures 14mm across. To the reverse the ruby and diamonds are set into open backed settings which allow the maximum amount of light light to shine through.
This is an outstanding example of an Andrew Grima design.
